 Armenian government established visa-free order for citizens of Turkey from September 1 to 6 -14.08.08
Yerevan, August 14. Armenian government, in accordance with the law “On foreign citizens”, made a decision to establish a visa-free order for the entry of Turkish citizens to the country in the period from September 1 to 6, 2008.
As Mediamax was told in the press service of the government today, the decision is made aiming at establishing conditions for the presence of Turkish citizens at the qualifying match of Football World Cup between the national teams of Armenia and Turkey, which will take place on September 6 in Yerevan.
There are not diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey.
Over a month ago, the Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian invited his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul to visit Yerevan to jointly watch the football match. Official Ankara gave no response to the invitation.– |
