Armenian businesspeople who came to Turkey to watch the football match between the two countries’ national teams have decided to take another step forward to improve bilateral relations.
The Armenia Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association, or UMBA, led by Arsen Gazarian, voiced its decision to set up a representative office in Turkey.
The organization currently has offices in Los Angeles, Moscow and Brussels.
Before arriving in Bursa, the Armenian business delegation held talks with Ümit Boyner, the vice president of the Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association, or TÜSİAD, in Istanbul.
According to the announcement, UMBA will be represented in Turkey by Noyan Soyak, who has been the unofficial vice chairman of the Turkish-Armenian Business Development Council since 1997.
