Turkey hopes that the year of 2007 will go down in history as the year of a “breakthrough” in the negotiations on the Karabakh conflict settlement.
Mediamax reports that the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey Rafet Akgunay said this, speaking at the OSCE Ministerial meeting in Brussels.
“We are heartened by the continuing enhanced dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are pleased to record expression of optimism, albeit with a dose of caution, that the prospect of a political resolution in the history of this conflict has never been so close. We hope 2007 will go down in history as the year of breakthrough”, the Turkish diplomat stated
