Margara border crossing point on Armenian-Turkish border ready for use after renovation

Margara Bridge

The Margara border crossing point on the Armenian-Turkish border is ready for use after a major renovation, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Karen Tamazyan said at a press conference at Armenpress.

“In terms of customs and passport control, as well as border guards, the infrastructure is ready so that the passenger service can be carried out properly,” he said.

Turkey unilaterally blocked its border with Armenia in 1993. In 2022, the two countries agreed to open the land border for citizens of third countries and diplomatic passport holders. The agreement is yet to be implemented.
