| Yerevan, September 15. /Mediamax/. Armenia supports the establishment of
diplomatic relations with Turkey without any preconditions and wants to
provide this country’s positive involvement in the South Caucasian
region. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Ruben Shugarian said this in
Yerevan today, speaking at the Centre for Public Dialogue and Development.
According to him, despite the absence of diplomatic relations and the
closed border the volume of foreign trade between Armenia and Turkey
grows steadily.
Shugarian noted that as of 2003 Turkey took the 10th place in Armenia’s
foreign economic activity sphere. The overall volume of the production
exported from Turkey in 2003 made $37 mln, meanwhile the volume of the
production exported from Armenia to Turkey made a little more than $1
mln. –0– |
